Getting ready for NYFW!

Giuseppe Zanotti and Alexander McQueen weren’t the first to design the curved heel wedge.  The Milanese chopines pictured above were worn during the Renaissance and made at staggering heights (up to 12 inches!).

Some pretty darn nice looking (and tasty!) cupcakes at our press preview today, if I do say so myself.

The wedge was invented by Salvatore Ferragamo in 1936.  It became popular during WWII and went as high as 5 inches.  This popular fashion accessory resurfaced back in the 1970s, 1990s, 2006, and 2012!
